The Five Most Influential People of the Year

It’s the end of the year again; time stands still for no-one.  Take a look back over the last 11 months; whom do you see?  I have put much thought into this, and it was a struggle because there are way more than five people or types of people that pushed me this year.   Let’s take a look at how my leadership and business has grown and why.

1.  The Producer

As a leader, you probably wear many hats in your business, and sometimes you are the leader AND the producer.  I seem to fit in this square the most.   My husband calls me the busiest project manager on the planet.  He says that not only do I need to lead others often to fulfill the tasks of the job but I have my own responsibilities as well. I don’t have a job description.  I am the job description.  While I am not proficient in everything, I can lead projects in a variety of capacities.  Those  I cannot fill, I seek.  I search out those strong in the area I need and allow them to lead.  Yes, I just said I was influential.  You are too!

2.  The Creative Genius

These exceptional people can turn a simple idea into something magnificent and make you feel inept within seconds.  Ok, I am never inept, but if you have ever met Arthur Greeno, you will know what I mean.  The man can turn the mundane into Cirque De Soleil in five minutes flat.   His brain works, unlike anything I have seen.  That is why we made a shirt in his honor.  He taps into your creativity as well and is excellent at getting the brainstorm session moving.   I have seen this man use his creativity to raise thousands of dollars for Tulsa Pop Kids, an organization that promotes literacy,  I am honored to support.   If you want to see them in action, follow them!

3.  The Supporter

Everyone needs friends and leaders that support you through success and failure and keep you moving forward.   I would say in my business there are several people I can always count on to be in my corner and to not only support me but to push me back into believing in myself after failures or through rough spots.   Grab yourself a supporter and make sure they’re on your team.

4.  The Hunter

This person is a must have on your team.  They know where to get the best stuff for the best price and quick — the best printers, bloggers, web designers, and just about anything else you need.  They know where to pick up the best coffee or get that shirt made and have connections that can help you within hours.  The hunter is a skill/trait that is extremely beneficial to our company.

5.  The Financial Guru

I need someone on my team to keep the budget at bay.  This leader can create something from nothing.  For the business, it is the CFO, but in my house, he is called the hubby.  This man is great with a budget and generous to boot.  We might sacrifice certain things so we can have others.   We are always able to bless others, but you won’t know about it because he keeps it a secret.

Who are the five most influential people of YOUR year?  Make sure they know how grateful you are for them.   In this season of giving, make sure to support those that support you.
